Bag Fabric Guide
Bag Fabric Guide
Fabric varies in texture, structure and branding suitability. Start with the contents and use, then compare samples. A material name begins a specification but does not fully describe the finished bag.

Cotton, canvas and denim
Cotton is a fibre; canvas is a construction and is not automatically pure cotton. Denim has a twill appearance but composition and weight still need confirmation. These fabrics create different shapes and handling. Compare actual shades and behaviour when folded, filled and printed. A flat sample explains the surface; a complete sample helps establish the effect of seams and gussets.
Mesh and synthetics
Mesh can suit sorting and particular laundry uses, but aperture, closure and seams must suit contents. Polyester and nylon have different constructions and finishes. Neither name proves water resistance, washing performance or capacity. Identify coatings because they affect branding. If small items are carried, check whether they can pass through the mesh or escape around the closed opening.
Blends and presentation
Poly-cotton, poly-viscose and melange require composition details. Velvet, linen and leather-look surfaces create different effects, but appearance does not establish durability or suitability for particular contents. For jewellery or gifts, assess lining and internal seams with the outer fabric. Ask whether contact protection is required and review the actual item in a sample rather than assuming softness guarantees protection.
Compare fairly
Hold dimensions, handles, closure and branding consistent when comparing fabrics. Request composition, weight, shade and care. Ask for evidence supporting required performance or recycled content. Availability, samples, quantities and prices require quotation for the selected bag and UAE city. Keep the approved material reference and record any acceptable alternatives so future orders do not rely only on a photograph.
A sample comparison is most useful when all alternatives are reviewed with the same contents and branding dimensions. Record which differences matter to the buyer, rather than choosing solely on fabric weight or a descriptive name.
